CRICUT CRAFT "Congrats!" Baby Card

This is a great little card for those getting ready for a new arrival. It makes a great baby shower card! I have actually decided to send this, along with a gift card to a friend of mine who is expecting twins! This is a Cricut craft, so you will need one to make this card. I am very proud of the way it turned out.
You can find the instructions on how to do this on page 22 of the Doodlecharms handbook as well. I did mine a little different, so I wanted to share it in here also. This is my finished product:

MATERIALS NEEDED:
Printed or Designer Paper (I think something with stripes looks the best)
A 4x5 or close to it blank card either handmade or purchase from the craft store
Cardstock (Solid color to complete the bag, flesh color for faces, desired color for hair & bow)
Adhesive
Brads (These are optional. They go on the handles of your bag)
Ribbon (Optional. If you would like to make the girl bow out of ribbon instead of cardstock)
Sentiment (i.e. Congratulations etc..)
Doodlecharms Cartridge

DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut out your desired number of baby heads at 1 1/4"  from your flesh-colored cardstock. Keeping the size dial at 1 1/4", press the SHIFT key, then the baby heads key to select the hair and bow. Adhere the hair and bow to the baby heads.
**NOTE** If you are using cardstock for the bow, instead of ribbon, be sure to cut out the hair and bow twice. Once to get your desired hair color and then again with the color you chose for the bow.

2. Cut one 5" baby bag each from both your printed paper AND the solid color cardstock you chose to accompany your baby bag. Then press SHIFT baby bag and cut one 5" baby bag from your solid color cardstock again to get the handle and zipper. Adhere the handle to the front piece of your printed pattern handle for your bag.

3. This is an optional step. If you do not have brads, you can use stickers here, punch out shapes of your choice, glitter glue..etc. Or you don't have to do anything at all. If you have brads and would like to use them, place a brad through the baby bag handle on each side, as shown below:

4. If you are making your card you will need to make a card slightly larger than the baby bag.

5. Once your card is ready, go ahead and adhere the solid color cardstock baby bag to the front of the card where you would like it. After that, adhere your baby heads to the card as well, remembering that you when put the printed part of the bag on, parts of your baby heads are going to be covered by the handle.

6. Now it's time to add the front of your bag. I added mine using pop dots. I put them on the bag itself, not the handle. The handle I just let go free. I used 8 pop dots around the edge of my bag and one in the center.

7. Lastly, add your sentiment. I chose to cut out the "congrats" sentiment from the Simply Sweet cartridge. You can do anything you'd like here. Now, just write on the inside, make it yours and you're all done! A great card to give to any expecting mommy!
